This website offers cyberguides for teachers to use in their classroom for many famous english books. It gives complete lesson plans that may be used and online games for students to help better understand the stories. It gives a large variety of books for teachers to be able to choose from. I believe this could be very useful if a teacher wants to get away from the textbook for awhile and try something a little different in his or her classroom. It is a fun way to interact in a different way with the children and it gives them some variety in the classroom. I believe that the main goal of this website is to allow teachers to use this tool in their classroom to help students learn about technology and different ways to use technology.

This game is about teaching students what idioms are. They give you a character you get to choose and then you continue to play the game. It gives you an idiom and then you pick which answer out of the four that they give you, you think is the answer. You could use this as a website in your classroom that is safe for students to play this game and is very educational all at the same time. In my opinion, the main goal of this website is to teach students what idioms are in a fun way.

This website offers over 2,000 free short stories, poems, novels, and articles for students to read. This website has combined all of these for students to use for free. They also offer study guides and study questions to go along with the stories. You could use this in your classroom to take a break from paperback books and to use technology in the classroom. You could print off the study guides and study questions and have the students turn them in for a grade or extra credit. In my opinion, the main goal of this website is to give students many great stories to be able to read online and for free.

This website allows you to get background knowledge of your favorite poet. This website is filled with tons of information according to what kind of poems you like. You could use this website in the classroom by assigning your students with a project to do a oral presentation on their favorite poet. They could look at this website to get their information and then present it to the class. In my opinion, the main goal of this website is to give students and even the public background information on their favorite poets all combined in one easy to use website.

This website has an assessment that uses vocabulary that each student should know according to their grade level.  You could give this assessment the first week of school to see where your students stand in their vocabulary knowledge, you could put them into groups according to their vocabulary knowledge, let them work with each other on vocabulary according to what their weak points are. Do not let the students see their score on the assessment, so they do not make fun of the other students who may have not done so well on it. This website's main goal, in my opinion, is to allow teachers to get a good idea of where their students are according to their vocaulary knowledge.

This game is to help students in elementary school learn what the root of a word is and how to find it. It allows you to play a game and to pick out the root of the word and you get points if you do it correctly. You could use this in the classroom as a station to help students get extra fun practice understanding root words. This website is divided into three parts one for pre-kindergarten, early elementary school, and late elementary school. It has interactive story books that are designed for that age group to understand and be able to read. These books have great animation and keep the children involved and paying attention. This website could be used in the classroom to substitute reading a book to the class, you could read one of these story books to them and show them how to use technology in the classroom. In my opinion the main goal of this website is to give teachers an alternative to paper back books in the classroom.

This website has many great features to it for teachers and students. They have games for students about books they may have read in class or on their own. For teachers they have lesson plans and worksheets that may be used in the classroom or for homework about a children's book.  This could be used in the classroom as a good source for teachers for worksheets to do in the classroom and for students to learn more about the books they read. In my opinion, this website's main goal is to give the teacher and students more about the books the read and more options to go along with the book.

This website is a version of hangman that teaches you the days of the week, colors, months of the year, and numbers. So basically all you do is play hangman with these words.  This website could be useful to kindergarten, first, or second grades because, children love to play hangman and they are learning at the same time. It can be used in the classroom as an incentive if they have gotten a good grade on a test.  In my opinion, the main goal of this website is to learn the days of the week, months of the year, colors, and numbers in a fun way of playing the game hangman.

This website is an interactive story book. This website has all the letters of the alphabet and allows you to click on them and they show you a animal that starts with that letter that you would see in a zoo. For example, B for a Bear. It is great for kindergarden students because it shows them the letter and an animal that they can learn by that letter. It also keeps the children's attention.  This website could be used in the classroom to let the children another option for practicing their alphabet. In my opinion, this website's goal is to help students learn the alphabet in a fun and constructive way.

This website shows you in four levels how to read. The first level allows you to hear the sound of every letter in the alphabet, second level teaches you how to read, third level gives you games to play to be able to read, and fourth level gives you different types of literature to read. In today's classroom most of the students are all at different types of learning levels, if you have a student that is having a hard time reading then you could have them use this to help them. In my opinion, the website's main goal is to help students who need extra help with reading use this as a tool to help them.

This website allows the student to make an interactive book online. It allows the student to pick characters, the setting, and what things will be used in the story. If I was teaching in a classroom setting now, I would allow my students to play this game, because it lets them create their own personal story. Every student is different from one another and this lets the student use their imagination. I think this website would be very useful in the classroom if the student had finished their work and needed something constructive to do in their free time. In my opinion, this website's goal is to allow the student to create their own story and put their own personal flare on creating their own online story.

This website is an interactive site about Aesop's Fables. This university has put Aesop's Fables online to view interactively. They put these online so students could view them using a computer and all of his fables are available on this website. I believe if you were teaching a lesson about Aesop's Fables this website could be very helpful and it gives the students a different view of the fable besides from a book. In my opinion, this website's goal is to give students a different view of the fables.

This website allows the student to think about how to spell other words. It also makes the student use their brain.  In my observations in my education classes, I have saw students do this for fun in their spare time. In my opinion, this website is teaching the student to use a computer, learning, and having fun all at the same time. :)

This website has learning games that can be used in a Reading or Language Art Class. The learning games that are on this website are crossword puzzles, word searches, and word scrambles. This website makes it fun for the students to learn vocabulary or spelling words. It can be used in the classroom as a tool if a student is having trouble learning vocabulary or spelling lessons, this can act as an extra tutor.  In my opinion, the main goal of this website is to help students learn how to spell vocabulary words and expand their word usage in the classroom.

Zoom Playhouse is a feature on the PBS Kids website that allows children to go there and choose a play to act out. They provide how many characters are needed, what props that the children need, and what kind of costumes they need. This website can be very helpful in the classroom, because allowing children put on plays gives them self confidence, public speaking skills, interaction with other students, and memorization.  In my opinion, the main goal of the website is to teach children not to have stage fright, work together as a group, and how the organization of a play is.

This website allows students to hear famous children's books read out loud by a famous person such as Betty White. Each book that is read has games and other fun activities the child can do after they hear the story. There are five stories the children can choose from on this website. This can be used in the classroom by allowing the children to be on the computer but also learning something at the same time. In my opinion, the main goal of this website is to get children to hear books out loud and get them interested in online interactive books.
